Just went to see Jason Statham’s Beekeeper movie in Cinema 8. Fantastic boutique cinema with excellent candy bar options, as well as licensed options for in cinema serving of snacks and drinks. All seats have electric recliners and are very comfortable. Best cinema in Brisbane’s very boutique inner city James Street district of Fortitude Valley. Thanks. 🙏

Movie was excellent but the Cinema was not. It had not been cleaned between the proceeding film and mine. But most annoying were signs telling us on arrival that they were out of pop corn and choc tops because they were busy. See photos. The whole world knew current films were blockbusters so it is a poor excuse. They still manage to charge full price for my ticket. These are basics that are a big part of the cinema experience. I’d not have bothered going here if I had known. I will definitely think twice before returning.

The premium room is great but the food is always disappointing. Popcorn old/cold if you don’t go on peak hours and the combos are never available due to soft drinks machine breakdowns. 20 dollars for cold popcorn and bottle of water.

With the brilliant recliners, close screen and the amazing sound system it made us all feel like we where in the movie. The staff and drinks/snack menu are awesome. It pays to be a member and utilise this amazing venue.

Been here a few times. Staff are usually friendly and the place has always been clean including the bathroom! It’s not crazy expensive like most things on James st. And I appreciate the popcorn being cooked in olive oil opposed to vegetable oil! The rooms are smaller which I kinda like. And I don’t feel awkward going by myself cause I can choose my seat at the back and hide haha 🙈also you can sign up to their membership thing for free and get a discount!

Love coming here. Good ticket price and . Super comfortable. It’s definitely better and cleaner than some of the other cinemas I’ve been to. I haven’t seen dry vomits on the seats.Food are expensive but that’s with every cinema so not big deal.

Really beautiful cinema with quite an authentic cinema experience feeling. I attended to see OPPENHEIMER, which screened with fantastic 70mm quality. The seats did leave a little more to be desired (especially given how luxury the rest of the cinema feels), as it was not the comfiest way to recline for a 3 hour movie. Overall, a positive experience.

We saw Oppenheimer yesterday, very poor experience. Counter staff, male, clearly didn’t want to be at work. Only food options were a cheese platter, and three toasted sandwiches and we were told only one was available. The seats were uncomfortable and foyer area was freezing cold. Not a gold star experience, at other theaters you can order a variety of meals and have them served to your seat. Before the movie started a.my advert was shown asking to take your dishes to the counter after the movie. Very expensive service when it’s self service. Why would you go?
